County’s Taxable Sales in 3rd Quarter Off Slightly

Taxable sales in Ventura County in last year’s third quarter were off 0.8% from the same period a year earlier--just slightly deeper than the 0.7% statewide decline.
Overall sales in the county totaled $1.396 billion, according to the state Board of Equalization.
The county’s retail sales, totaling $988.4 million, were up slightly from $984 million in the year-earlier period, but down from $1.001 billion in the third quarter of 1990.
