LOS ALAMITOS : 3 Teen Boys Confess to Graffiti Tagging

Share

Three teen-age boys were arrested Tuesday morning after confessing to three graffiti-tagging episodes that occurred over the past two weeks, including one at a private school that caused $1,000 in damage, police said.

A 16-year-old and two 14-year-olds, whose names were withheld because of their ages, are suspected of breaking into St. Hedwig Catholic School at 3591 Orangewood Ave. and defacing a classroom, hallway and foyer with spray paint and marking pens over the Easter weekend, said Police Sgt. Terry McCarthy.

The suspects, who live on the same street, are not students of the school.

They are also suspected of vandalizing the outside of two buildings in the 3800 block of Katella Avenue last weekend.

McCarthy said the three confessed to the vandalism when confronted by evidence gathered by investigators. They were booked on suspicion of malicious mischief and released to their parents.
