Ojai Tournament to Begin Today

More than 50 local players are entered in the 94th Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament, which will start at 8 a.m. today at Libbey Park.

The tournament will be dedicated to former Wimbledon and U.S. Open champion Arthur Ashe, who won four titles at Ojai while playing for UCLA.

The dedication will be made by Southern California Tennis Assn. president and former standout professional Jack Kramer at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Finals will be held on Sunday. Adult admission is $5 today, $6 Friday and $9 Saturday and Sunday. Seniors will receive a $1 discount.
