NORTH HILLS : VA Hospital Opens Clinic for Women
Some 600 veterans have received outpatient medical treatment at the new Women’s Health Clinic at the Sepulveda VA Medical Center in its first four months of operation, officials said
The clinic provides preventive screening for breast and cervical cancer, checks for hypertension and cholesterol, treatment for osteoporosis, menopause and gynecological conditions, and mental health counseling. The clinic is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays.
Any female veteran with an honorable discharge, service-connected disability or whose income is below the poverty line is eligible, said officials at the medical center at 16111 Plummer St., North Hills.
