A LAKE REBORN: After years of drought, Lake Hughes, tucked high in the mountains above Santa Clarita, was just a puddle. Then it dried up, its fish rotting in the summer sun. . . . But this year the lake is back, thanks to some 41 inches of winter rainfall. Residents are happy to see their lake reborn, but some fret about restocking it with fish. It will only attract city folk, they say. (B18)
