Getty Grants: The J. Paul Getty Trust has awarded $253,000 to 39 museums and visual arts organizations in Los Angeles County to fund $3,000 summer internships for 80 minority undergraduate college students. Recipients, who will select their own interns, include such large organizations as the County Museum of Art and smaller nonprofit cultural centers, including Black Photographers of California, the Museum of Chinese American History and the Gay and Lesbian Media Coalition.
