New Look: HomeBase Inc. will unveil new prototype stores late in the summer in San Diego and Bakersfield. The look, designed to give the home-improvement chain stores a distinctive look both inside and out, will eventually be incorporated at existing stores through renovation. HomeBase, based in Irvine, now operates 87 stores in 13 states.
