Norwalk : Community College Board Selects New President
A community college administrator from Indiana has been named president of Cerritos College by the Board of Trustees.
Fred Gaskin, 47, a vice president at the 22-campus Ivy Technical College in Indiana, will assume his position at the Cerritos campus in July, officials said. He replaces Ernest A. Martinez, who left the college last year for another job.
Gaskin, selected from among seven finalists, has master’s and doctoral degrees in educational administration and instructional technology from the University of Pittsburgh.
The Indianapolis native agreed to a four-year, $115,000-a-year contract with the college.
