RIGHTS FOR GAYS

Growing up in a Christian home, I was taught the virtues of love and hope and, above all, respect for others. That is why, for the life of me, I cannot understand the Rev. Louis P. Sheldon and his kind’s narrow-minded hatefulness directed toward gays and lesbians.

Chasing gays back “into hiding” is the idea of mean-spirited but well-organized bigots, who do not represent Christian ideals, and trying to make such attitudes the Christian agenda is shameful. Hate and bigotry are not the Christian way.
