Ford to Raise Rebates on Tempo, Topaz: Ford Motor Co. said it is increasing customer rebates on its 1993 Tempo and Topaz four-door compact sedans by $200 to $700 until Sept. 22. Those models are slated to be replaced next year by a new, larger sedan code-named CDW27, although Ford is considering adding a Tempo/Topaz-size compact to its U.S. line in the middle or late 1990s. Ford also extended cash rebates on a wide range of 1992 and 1993 cars and trucks until Sept. 22. Those discounts range from $200 to $3,000.
