MTV to Produce Movies: The cable TV music network MTV has established a new division called MTV Productions to develop and produce feature films and network TV programs. The new division will be headed by Doug Herzog, 33, MTV’s senior vice president of programming. The projects will be targeted toward MTV’s 18- to 34-year-old audience. First project is a film based on the MTV animated/live-action short “Joe’s Apartment.”
