Times Mirror Co. announced the appointment of Duane Storhaug, the company’s controller, as vice president. Storhaug, 55, will serve as the firm’s chief accounting officer with responsibility for accounting, financial planning and analysis, succeeding Donald S. Maxwell.

Maxwell, a vice president, will have responsibility for audits and various corporate projects.
