STANTON : City Hall to Close at Noon for Funeral
City Hall will close at noon today so city workers can attend the funeral of Bonnie Kirk Baxter, a city employee for 29 years, who died last Friday.
City Hall will reopen Thursday at 7 a.m.
Baxter began working in 1964 as a secretary in the Engineering Department and later moved to the Public Works and Community Development departments. She became community development manager in 1985.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the Waverly Chapel of Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 E. Fairhaven Ave., Santa Ana.
Baxter died of cancer, City Clerk Darleen Cordova said.
