Critic Departing: Chuck Henry, a fixture at KABC-TV Channel 7 for 17 of the past 20 years, has left the station following the expiration of his contract last Friday. Terry Crofoot, KABC’s general manager, confirmed Henry’s departure Wednesday, but would not comment on whether there had been any negotiations to retain him. Henry, who reportedly was working under a lucrative five-year deal that paid him around $750,000 annually, had been serving as the station’s film critic for the past year, following his longtime hosting duties on the defunct “Eye on L.A.” Henry has also worked as an anchor and news reporter at KABC. Pam Thomson, the station’s entertainment reporter, will add film reviews to her current reporting duties, Crofoot said.
