Post-Riot Los Angeles

Is it really any wonder why the Rebuild L.A. effort has been less than well received by Hollywood (May 4)? Frankly, this cause never caught on with the public because it never rang true to the public. When it comes right down to it, people don’t want to give money or time to anyone who burns and loots his own community. And why should they? As some kind of perverse reward system?

Sure, Disney gave its obligatory mil and the politically correct Hollywood elite “spoke out” about hopelessness as a root cause of the riots and of the disparity between the haves and the have-nots. But, as the real cleanup and damage control efforts began, the Hollywood left once again showed the disparity between words and action. This anti-gun brigade armed themselves in record numbers or headed for Tahoe, Cannes and all points east.
