Much Ado About Seattle: Kenneth Branagh’s new film, “Much Ado About Nothing,” will open the 19th Annual Seattle Film Festival on Friday night. The movie version of Shakespeare’s play--starring Branagh; his wife, Oscar winner Emma Thompson, and Denzel Washington--has already sold out at the festival. Branagh is scheduled to attend the opening. The festival’s June 6 finale will be Stephen Soderbergh’s “King of the Hill,” starring Jeroen Krabbe and Lisa Eichorn. World premieres will run throughout the festival, including “Me and Veronica,” starring Patricia Wettig and Elizabeth McGovern, and “Tom and Jerry: The Movie.” A festival highlight: Director John Schlesinger (“Midnight Cowboy,” “Marathon Man”) will be paid a tribute on May 27.
