Rangel Reportedly Cleared in House Banking Scandal

Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.), who survived the House banking scandal to win reelection to a 12th term in Congress last year, was cleared Wednesday by the Justice Department of any criminal wrongdoing in the case, his office announced. Rangel had 64 overdrafts at the now-closed House bank.
