Memorial: The late Bob Dingilian, MGM’s executive vice president of worldwide marketing, was remembered as “a man of pure and everlasting principle” at an emotion-charged memorial service packed with family and friends Wednesday evening at the Writers Guild of America. Dingilian, a 40-year veteran of Hollywood, died Monday of heart disease at age 60. “I never heard him say a bad thing about anyone with whom he was working. As tough as this town can be, it never seemed to affect him,” remarked producer Martin Ransohoff. Jennifer Warnes sang three songs in his memory, concluding with a haunting rendition of “Amazing Grace.”
