CITY OF INDUSTRY : Stolen Trailer Containing $1 Million in Plasma Found
A stolen trailer containing $1 million worth of blood plasma was found Friday in the City of Industry, and its refrigerated cargo apparently was undamaged, Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokeswoman Irma Becerra said.
The trailer, which belongs to Trans Medic Carriers of Jeffersonville, Ind., was stolen between 6 and 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the 12000 block of Garvey Avenue in El Monte, she said.
A security guard who heard about the theft tipped off deputies to the trailer’s location, Becerra said.
