I take issue with Eileen Ogintz’s column on travel with babies (“A Vacation Becomes an Adventure,” April 25). As owner of Let’s Take The Kids, a travel information service for families, I direct hundreds of parents weekly to spots that will give them just the vacation that they’re seeking. Ogintz advises readers, “Don’t leave home anticipating leisurely dinners on moonlit terraces.” Nonsense. At one resort in Jamaica, parents are given the luxury of their own personal assistant to provide loving professional child-care. Another resort in Vermont offers families mothers’ helpers who are available for baby-sitting overnights in their lakeside cabins.

No, new parents can’t just pick up and go anywhere anytime, but they can pick up and go more easily than I feel the article implied.
