Hazardous-Waste Firm Posts Profit

Security Environmental Systems, the Garden Grove hazardous-waste disposal company, posted a profit of $434,408, or 4 cents a share, for its third fiscal quarter. That compared to earnings of $151,774, or 1 cent a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the three months ended March 31 rose 30% to $2.6 million from $2 million. For the first three quarters of the fiscal year, the company reported a profit of $2 million, or 19 cents a share, up from $402,614, or 3 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Nine-month revenue was up 82% to $10 million from $5.5 million.
