BUENA PARK : Mitzi Gaynor Benefit to Aid Arts Center

Share

The Buena Park Cultural Arts Foundation is holding its second annual fund-raiser Saturday night starring Mitzi Gaynor, with proceeds going to build a community cultural arts center.

Reduced ticket prices are being offered for the “Mitzi Gaynor Show” at Knott’s Berry Farm. “It was disappointing when we had to make the decision to offer them at a discount,” said Bea Botelho, foundation chairwoman. “With the (poor) economy, ticket sales just simply were not moving on.”

The 8 p.m. performance will be in the amusement park’s Good Time Theatre, with $25 and $35 seats being sold at half-price. Discount coupons and tickets are available at the Buena Park Recreation Center, 8150 Knott Ave.

Premium $100 tickets are still available, with no discount; they include an on-stage reception with Gaynor after the show.

Organizers are billing the show as a “razzle-dazzle Las Vegas-type of performance.”

The foundation was established six years ago by the city as a fund-raising arm to bring a community cultural arts center to Buena Park.
