Support for Kings Is Starting to Peak

I am a longtime King fan. However, as someone who truly loves the game of hockey, I feel that it is a shame that the greatest player ever has to play in a town that is so ignorant of the sport. I like what Wayne Gretzky has done for the Kings, and I am sick of reading letters written by so-called King fans that are full of asinine and degrading comments about “the Great One.”

Hockey is the consummate team sport and one man cannot do it all (ask Marcel Dionne). Well, I hope now that Gretzky is leading the NHL in playoff scoring, there will be a flood of letters from people wishing to retract their stupid comments.
