Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies have made one arrest and are searching for two more people in connection with a shooting that left two dead in Palmdale late Friday night.

The shooting, which deputies describe as “gang-related,” occurred during an argument at a mini-mart on Palmdale Boulevard near the Sierra Highway.

One man involved in the argument pulled out a 9-millimeter pistol and shot three other men, said Diane Hecht of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Hecht said Antwon Giles, 22, died at the scene. Kevin Robertson, 22, was taken to Palmdale Medical Center where he died shortly after arrival. Kubwa Gomsounin, 24, was treated at the hospital for gunshot wounds to the hand and leg and then released.

All the victims were residents of Palmdale, Hecht said.

Acting on an anonymous tip, Hecht said, deputies located the suspected gunman, Dialo Parker, 20, of Palmdale, in an apartment in Palmdale on Saturday and arrested him on suspicion of murder. Deputies were still searching Sunday for the man Parker was with at the time of the shooting and a woman who drove them away from the scene, Hecht said.

“Homicide detectives believe the groups were from rival gangs,” she said. “Although Giles is not believed to be a gang member.”
