The Pleasant Valley Elementary School District is seeking suggestions from the public for naming the new elementary school planned for eastern Camarillo.
District officials said they want a Spanish name consisting of two words for the school, which will be built at Woodcreek Road and Lynnwood Drive in the Mission Oaks neighborhood.
Suggestions should be submitted by June 1 to Evelyn Gillespie, director of instructional programs, Pleasant Valley Elementary School District office, 600 Temple Ave., Camarillo, 93010.
The district board will vote on the school name Aug. 1.
