Carson Quips: Appearing in New York Monday to accept an award from the Center for Communication, former "Tonight Show" host Johnny Carson said that his travel arrangements had been handled by Catherine Cornelius, the distant relative of President Clinton who was named last week to coordinate travel arrangements for the White House press corps. It's inexpensive, Carson said, "but you have to lay over at least two nights in Little Rock." Referring to the White House travel flap and Clinton's controversial haircut, Carson said, "This is when I miss 'The Tonight Show.' I miss the monologue. You pray for things like this."
