U.S. and Honduran archeologists say they have found what may be the tomb of a Mayan king who reigned 1,500 years ago.

“The experts of both nationalities are sure that this has to do with the tomb of Yax Ku’k Mo’,” king of the Copan Mayan dynasty, said Jose Maria Casco, director of Honduras’ Institute of Archeology.

Dates carved on the stones found in the tomb 300 miles north of the capital correspond to AD 437.
