5 Killed in Explosion at Sicilian Refinery

MILAZZO, Sicily —
A pipeline carrying hot oil exploded at a refinery Thursday, killing at least five workers and seriously injuring 10, officials said.
The explosion at the Mediterranean coast refinery set off a large blaze that took firefighters more than an hour to put out, refinery spokesman Lino Scampitelli said.
The cause of the explosion was not immediately known.
