Driver Fatally Shot in Santa Ana
SANTA ANA —
A man was fatally shot as he drove on Castor Street near Golden West Street in Santa Ana early Saturday, police said.
The man’s car was involved in a minor collision after the shooting, but no one else was injured.
Neither the man nor any suspects have been identified, Santa Ana Police Sgt. Roger Scharf said.
The shooting occurred about 1:49 a.m. Police are not sure whether the assailant was a motorist or a pedestrian, Scharf said. He said the Police Department’s anti-gang detail is investigating the incident.
