Wonderware Software Senior VP Named

Norman R. Farquhar has joined Wonderware Software Development Corp. in Irvine as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He was formerly vice president of finance and chief financial officer for Micro Technology Inc. Before that, Farquhar was senior vice president and chief financial officer at Amperif Corp. and spent eight years at Cipher Data Products in San Diego.

* Steve Carley has been appointed vice president and general manager of Hot ‘n Now, a fast-food restaurant chain acquired by Taco Bell in 1990. Carley was previously president and chief executive officer of Fair Lanes Inc., a family-owned food and beverage chain. Before that, he held several operating and marketing positions with Taco Bell, including vice president for the former northern division and vice president of field marketing. He was also director of operations for Pepsi-Cola International in the Persian Gulf and director of marketing in the Middle East region.

* Bruce A. Weddington has been promoted to senior vice president of engineering for FileNet Corp. in Costa Mesa. He succeeds Edward A. Miller, who has retired. Weddington, who has been with FileNet since 1986, was vice president of workstation and communication software before his promotion.

* James G. Prusa has been appointed executive director of the Diving Equipment Manufacturers Assn., a nonprofit organization based in Huntington Beach. Prusa has been general manager and chief operating officer of Ridgemark, a golf resort in Monterey County, for the last three years. Before that, he was chief staff executive at the National Office Machine Dealers Assn.

* Greg Dane has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Neocrin Co., an Irvine biomedical company. Dane was formerly in Belgium as general manager of allergy therapy for Baxter Healthcare Corp., a unit of Baxter International Inc. and a general partner in Neocrin. Dane succeeds Floyd Benjamin, who resigned a month ago. Chairman Michael Henos took responsibility for those positions in the interim. Dane joined Baxter in 1978 and held a series of corporate engineering positions.

* Helen T. Cameron and Allen L. Basso have been elected to the board of directors of Marine National Bank in Irvine. They Helen T. Cameron succeed retired directors Alan J. Jacobs and Herbert L.Porter, both of whom were among the organizers of the bank. Cameron and her husband operate Time Zone Management Consultants in Irvine. Basso is a managing partner Smith, Linden & Basso, a Newport Beach accounting firm.

* Mike Ebbing has been appointed public relations manager for Sir Speedy Inc., a printing and copying franchiser in Laguna Hills. He had been public relations director for Martin Advertising & Public Relations in Santa Ana since 1984.

* David Hanson has been appointed director of litigation support services for the Orange County office of Deloitte & Touche, an accounting, tax and management consulting firm. Hanson previously headed litigation services at the Newport Beach office of Coopers & Lybrand.

* Walter D. Wallach has been appointed chief operating officer of Triad Medical Inc., a Laguna Hills medical products and health care services company. He was previously vice president of finance at McGaw Inc. in Irvine and International Medication Systems in Los Angeles.

* Cheryl Moore, Al Jannard and William Demmin have joined the board of directors of Monarch Bank in Laguna Niguel. They succeed founding directors who retired at the end of 1992. Moore is owner of a women’s apparel shop, Jannard is owner of a pharmacy and Demmin is senior vice president and chief financial officer of the bank.

* Robert M. Edgell, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Mission Energy Co. in Irvine, a subsidiary of SCEcorp, has been elected to the Mission Energy board of directors. Edgell joined Mission Energy at its inception in 1986. Before joining Mission Energy, Edgell served in various engineering and management positions at Southern California Edison Co.
