Time Warner to Use Silicon Graphics Technology: Time Warner Inc. has agreed to use Silicon Graphics Inc.’s powerful MIPS technology to run the fully interactive cable TV network it plans to test in Orlando, Fla. The two companies announced the agreement at the National Cable Television Convention in San Francisco, saying Silicon Graphics’ MIPS Technologies unit will supply the computer architecture for the TV set-top devices that will hook Orlando viewers up to the new service. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
