BASEBALL / DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE MAJORS : Bosio Is Put on Disabled List
Seattle pitcher Chris Bosio went on the disabled list because of an injured collarbone suffered during a brawl Sunday between the Mariners and Baltimore Orioles. The Mariners also announced that pitcher Brian Holman has tendinitis in his right rotator cuff and will not throw for at least three weeks.

Ted Simmons, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ general manager, was hospitalized because of chest pains and was reported in stable condition. Simmons, 43, is expected to remain hospitalized for the next several days, the team said. . . . Eddie Einhorn, Chicago White Sox vice chairman, was hospitalized for treatment of an inflamed pancreas. Einhorn, 57, was reported in stable condition.
