Promotions Announced at Metrobank’s Newport Office

Eileen Baca has been appointed first vice president of business development for Metrobank’s regional head office in Newport Beach. She joined the bank in 1989. Linda Mellor, who came to the bank in 1992, has been appointed first vice president of operations.

* Thomas P. O’Hara has been appointed vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer of Neocrin Co., an Irvine biomedical company. O’Hara was formerly vice president for finance and human resources, chief financial officer and treasurer for Vitarel Microelectronics Inc. in San Diego. Before that, he was a financial and management consultant to several high-technology and emerging growth companies in the San Diego area.

* Alan R. Holbrook has been promoted to executive vice president of Commercial Center Bank in Santa Ana. Holbrook, formerly senior vice president and operations administrator, will assume responsibility for the controller department, the mortgage banking group and human resources in addition to his current responsibilities.

* Kurt J. Linn has joined Sutro & Co. Inc. as an investment executive in the Newport Beach office. He was previously a financial consultant in the Newport Beach office of Merrill Lynch.

* Susan Yates has been elected president of the Dolphins, the women’s division of the Newport Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce. She is leasing manager for OmniOffices in Newport Beach.
