MISSION VIEJO : Olympic Team Part of Summer Splash

A chance to view Olympic divers, win prizes, and participate in inner-tube races and a funny dive contest are all part of the free Summer Splash 1993 today at the Marguerite Recreation Center.

Besides an exhibition by the Senior and Junior Olympic National Diving Team at the Marguerite Aquatics Complex, the nationally ranked Long Beach State volleyball team will participate in the city-sponsored event that begins at 11 a.m.

A kayak demonstration, a greased watermelon contest, a Mr. Pee-Wee Junior Tennis exhibition and face painting, pinatas and cakewalks, will help kick off the summer celebration.

The recreation center is at 27341 Trabuco Circle, at the corner of Trabuco Circle and Marguerite Parkway.
