Michael Pulitzer Elected Chairman: Pulitzer Publishing Co. said it elected Michael Pulitzer, its president and chief executive, to the added post of chairman. Pulitzer, 63, has been acting chairman since the death last month of Joseph Pulitzer Jr. at the age of 80. Michael Pulitzer has been the company’s chief executive since 1988. The board also named Emily Rauh Pulitzer, the widow of Joseph Pulitzer Jr., to fill the vacancy on the board resulting from her husband’s death. The company publishes the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Arizona Daily Star in Tucson, and owns radio and television stations across the country.
