Apple Says CEO John Sculley Isn’t Jumping Ship: Reviving periodic rumors that Sculley is looking for work elsewhere, USA Today reported that he has privately discussed other opportunities, including starting a technology company on the East Coast. Sculley had previously been mentioned as a contender for a job in the Clinton Administration, and many observers have noted over the last year that he is very disengaged from day-to-day operations at Apple, where he acts as a strategist and technology visionary. But Apple said Sculley “has absolutely no plans to leave Apple” and that speculation to the contrary is “nonsense.”
