LOS ANGELES COUNTY : D.A. Open House to Offer Child Support Information
The district attorney’s office will sponsor an open house today for parents who are having problems collecting child support payments.
“We are making a special effort to show the public just how the district attorney’s office can help parents collect support,” Dist. Atty. Gil Garcetti said. All Bureau of Family Support operations offices throughout the county will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. Representatives from the district attorney’s office will be available to explain what is needed to open a child support case, establish paternity and obtain a court order. The addresses of the district attorney’s Bureau of Family Support offices are: 15531 Ventura Blvd., Encino; 43770 15th St. West, Suite 240, Lancaster; 621 Hawaii St., El Segundo; 5770 S. Eastern Ave., City of Commerce; 2394 E. Garvey Ave., West Covina, and 20221 S. Hamilton Ave., Torrance. More information can be obtained by calling (213) 889-2976.
