The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI are searching for a man who robbed a Bank of America in Westlake of nearly $1,500 in cash Monday.

The suspect entered the bank at 954 Westlake Blvd. about 9:55 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money. The suspect told the teller he had a gun, though no weapon was visible, sheriff’s Lt. Bill Montijo said.

After the teller handed him money, the suspect fled on foot and was last seen walking toward Westlake Boulevard.
