* Film: It’s safe to predict that no one will get devoured in this Steven Spielberg project. The filmmaker, now setting box office records with his carnivorous “Jurassic Park,” is teaming up with Universal Pictures on an animated feature film based on the 1961 musical charmer “Carnival.” The musical, about a French orphan in a European carnival troupe, was an award-winner on Broadway and was based on the 1953 MGM film “Lili,” starring Leslie Caron. Film rights were bought by Meyer Ackerman and Julian Schlossberg. Arthur Manson came up with the idea for an animated feature and brought the idea to Spielberg.
