3 Young Inmates Briefly Escape Camp
Three juvenile wards of the Camp Scudder probation facility in Saugus were caught Saturday morning, a few hours after they escaped, sheriff deputies said.
The three boys--who had been convicted of robbery, assault and grand theft auto--were found hiding behind a shopping center at Bouquet Canyon and Haskell Canyon roads, authorities said.
Camp Scudder is a school and work program for boys 15 1/2 to 18 years old. Currently, 106 boys live there.
