From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Five Iraqis and a Kuwaiti accused of plotting to assassinate former President George Bush denied again that they had played any part in it. But they told Kuwait’s state security court that they had seen two pistols and an AK-47 assault rifle in the possession of others among the 14 defendants on trial. The defendants were cross-examined by Judge Salah Fahd on the fourth day of the trial of 11 Iraqis and three Kuwaitis charged with involvement in an alleged plot to kill Bush during his visit to the Gulf Arab emirate in April.
