“ArtsBreak,” a cable television program that focuses on local cultural issues across the country, will be taped in Irvine and Newport Beach Friday and Saturday for broadcast on the Bravo network in the fall.

As part of its visit, “ArtsBreak,” will co-sponsor the Saturday performance by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band of New Orleans at the Irvine Barclay Theatre and will donate $5,000 to the venue. Segments of the concert will be included in the broadcast, along with looks at the Orange County Chamber Orchestra, the Newport Harbor Art Museum and the Arpana Dance Company, which focuses on Asian dance.

The program will introduce a new “ArtsBreak” co-host, Scot Yount, who has a background in broadcast journalism, classical music and jazz.
