Police are conducting a homicide investigation into the death of a Simi Valley man whose body they found in a Las Vegas hotel room after they arrested a woman driving his rental car.

The body of Harry W. Warrington, 33, was found early Wednesday by police who were led to his room by Las Vegas resident Andrea Parrish, police said. Parrish had been picked up for existing warrants on a prostitution charge, they said.

Three bottles of drugs prescribed to Warrington, a white powdery substance and drug paraphernalia--including a razor blade and a mirror--were found in Warrington’s room at Fitzgeralds Hotel, said Las Vegas Police Sgt. Bill Keeton. A fourth bottle of prescription drugs was found with Parrish, he said.

A toxicology test is being done to determine the cause of death, Clark County coroner’s officials said.

“Laws bring responsibility on those who furnish drugs that cause death,” Keeton said. “We can’t guarantee prosecution, but if it comes back that death was by excessive amount of cocaine, we will submit for prosecution of this young lady.”

Police said they stopped Parrish at 11 p.m. Tuesday while she was driving the rented car.

“She claims she had been staying with (Warrington) at two different hotels over four days,” Keeton said. “She told us when she awoke around 11 a.m. Tuesday, she discovered that Mr. Warrington was not breathing. So then she left in his automobile.”

Keeton said Parrish could be charged with murder. She is being held for failure to appear in court on the prostitution charges.
