Ruth, Lady Fermoy, 84, maternal grandmother and matchmaker of the Princess of Wales. A trusted friend of the British royal family since 1931 when she married the 4th Lord Fermoy, Lady Fermoy was considered the matchmaker, along with the Queen Mother, for Princess Diana and Prince Charles, who married in 1981.
