Chinese Airline Leases Boeing Jets: China Southern Airlines plans to fly the 11 passenger planes on international routes in Southeast Asia, the China Daily reported. The airline, which placed an $800-million order for six wide-body 777 Boeing jets last December, plans to lease another 10 jets in 1994. China Southern is one of more than 30 Chinese airlines that were created when the single national airline was broken up in 1985 in an attempt to boost competition.
