GM to Raise 1994 Model Prices: The auto maker said it plans an average increase of 1.8%, excluding cars sold by its Saturn subsidiary. The average price increase over 1993 models for its car line will be $290, or 1.5%, said General Motors Corp. Vice President Michael Losh; truck prices will rise by an average of $445, or 2%. But Losh also said GM plans to expand its “value pricing” concept in the 1994 model year, which begins in October. Under the value pricing plan cars are equipped with options and sold at a discount over the cost of ordering the options separately.
