Webster Comes to Walt Disney’s Defense: Former FBI Director William Webster has disputed printed allegations that Disney was an FBI snitch. “He was not an informant. He was someone we established as a contact,” said Webster, who was retained by Disney’s family to clear his name. “An informant is someone who is under the FBI’s control, usually paid, who supplies information secretly. A contact is somebody you know in case you need some help sometime.” The allegations are contained in a new book, “Walt Disney: Hollywood’s Dark Prince.” Disney’s widow, Lillian, and daughter, Diane Miller, have denounced the book.
