The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between July 5 and 11:
Glendale
East Carlton Drive, 1200 block--Thieves cut the glass of a preschool office and stole $300. The theft was discovered July 5.
North Brand Boulevard, 400 block--As a woman walked up to a bank to make deposits for her store, two thieves confronted her and stole $398 at 1:30 p.m. July 5.
East Glenoaks Boulevard, 600 block--An arsonist threw a Molotov cocktail at a dry cleaners, causing an unknown amount of damage at 10:40 p.m. July 5.
North Howard Street, 600 block--Thieves pried open three storage units in an apartment complex’s underground garage, stealing more than 30 power and hand tools of unknown value between July 5 and 9.
Ramsdell and Montrose avenues--A thief shoved a woman to the ground and stole her purse, containing $4, at 11:30 a.m. July 6.
South Brand Boulevard, 200 block--Thieves with a gun stole a watch valued at $70 from a man in a video arcade at 9:15 p.m. July 7.
North Brand Boulevard, 300 block--After tunneling through to an ice cream store from an adjacent building, thieves stole a safe containing airline tickets and a British passport between July 7 and 8.
South Brand Boulevard, 100 block--Pretending to have a weapon in his jacket, a thief stole $2,850 from a bank at 12:50 p.m. July 8.
West Glenoaks Boulevard, 1400 block--Thieves posing as customers in a flower store pulled a gun and stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $600, at 3:49 p.m. July 8.
Burchett Street, 300 block--Thieves pried open 17 storage lockers in an apartment complex’s underground garage between 4:30 and 6 p.m. July 9.
Broadway and Pacific Avenue--Driving up next to a pedestrian, one thief left the car, came up behind her and stole her purse containing $16 at 8:15 p.m. July 9.
North Kenwood Street, 300 block--Thieves entered a residence and stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $17,600, and two passports between July 9 and 10.
Garfield Avenue and Mariposa Street--Thieves with a gun stole $250 from a man at 3:50 a.m. July 10.
Riverdale Drive, 400 block--Thieves entered a residence and stole $3,500 in jewelry between noon and 11 p.m. July 10.
North Central Avenue, 1100 block--After cutting the lock from a storage locker in an apartment complex basement, thieves stole luggage valued at $1,000. The theft was discovered July 11.
La Canada Flintridge
Vista Miguel Drive, 5100 block--A gold necklace valued at $2,000 was stolen from a home. The theft was discovered July 6.
Figueroa Street, 3600 block--Thieves broke into a residence and stole guns, video and camera equipment and jewelry valued together at $31,245 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. July 8.
Atwater Village
Los Feliz Place, 2800 block--Thieves cut the lock on a storage unit to steal a radio and TV valued together at $5,250 between July 6 and 9.
Los Feliz Boulevard, 3100 block--Gunmen stole $150 and a car from a man at 1:30 a.m. July 8.
Eagle Rock
Lincoln Avenue, 4400 block--Thieves forced open a rear window on a garment factory and stole industrial equipment valued at $20,600. The theft was discovered July 6.
Ellenwood Drive and La Verna Avenue--After asking for directions, thieves grabbed a woman’s purse containing cash, valued together at $170, at 9:45 a.m. July 7.
Medlow Avenue, 2700 block--Thieves entered the open rear door of a residence and stole recordings and telephone equipment valued together at $3,240 between July 8 and 10.
North Avenue 46, 1500 block--A thief pushed a woman out of her car and took the vehicle at 8:45 p.m. July 9.
Echo Park
Curran Street, 1500 block--After smashing a rear window, a thief entered a residence and stole computer equipment valued at $1,300 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. July 9.
Glassell Park
Randall Court, 1500 block--Thieves entered a residence and stole radio and video equipment valued together at $2,590 between 7:45 a.m. and 18:45 p.m. July 6.
North San Fernando Road, 1500 block--Industrial equipment valued at $12,000 and weighing more than 500 pounds was stolen from the rear of a railroad yard between 1 and 5:30 p.m. July 6.
Barryknoll Drive, 4000 block--Entering through a rear bedroom window, thieves stole camera and video equipment valued together at $1,050 between 4:30 and 10:30 p.m. July 10.
Griffith Park
Griffith Park Drive, 4900 block--Thieves made off with a golf bag and jewelry valued together at $2,050 at 4:05 p.m. July 7.
Highland Park
Figueroa Street and Marmion Way--As a woman passed by a phone, three thieves tried to grab her, eventually stealing cash and jewelry valued together at $235 at 12:15 a.m. July 5.
York Boulevard, 6300 block--A thief with a gun stole $33 from a woman at 7:05 p.m. July 5. Police later arrested the thief.
North Figueroa Street, 6100 block--Thieves broke into an auto repair shop and stole tools valued at $3,500. The theft was discovered July 6.
Meridian Street, 5600 block--Using a master key, thieves broke into a residence and stole a TV and household goods valued together at $2,300. The theft was discovered July 7.
La Follette Drive, 200 block--Thieves pried off a window screen to steal cash and guns valued together at $1,125 from a residence between 9 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. July 9.
Benner Street, 5700 block--As a man worked on his truck, a thief with a gun stole the vehicle and $322 at 5:40 a.m. July 11.
Los Feliz
Fountain Avenue, 4500 block--Thieves stole tools and household goods valued together at $1,400 from a construction site. The theft was discovered July 6.
North Vermont Avenue, 1700 block--Possibly using a key to enter a man’s apartment, a thief posing as a manager demanded and received $272 at 2 p.m. July 7.
Hillhurst Avenue, 2100 block--Thieves with a gun shot the cash register at a restaurant, then fled with cash and jewelry valued together at $1,339 at 2:30 p.m. July 8.
Kenmore Avenue and Sunset Boulevard--After asking a woman for a cigarette, thieves pointed a gun at her, then pulled a necklace valued at $200 from her neck at 1:15 p.m. July 10.
Mount Washington
Avenue 49 and North Figueroa Street--Holding a knife to a man, thieves stole cash and jewelry valued together at $224 from him at 5:05 p.m. July 5.
North Figueroa Street, 4100 block--Thieves forced open a front door to a commercial building and stole camera equipment and sporting goods valued together at $4,460. The theft was discovered July 6.
Silver Lake
Hyperion Avenue, 1100 block--Thieves stole a TV and radio valued together at $4,696 from a residence between July 5 and 6.
West Sunset Boulevard, 2900 block--A thief with a gun stole $280 from a liquor store at 11:25 p.m. July 6.
Redesdale Avenue, 1600 block--Thieves pushed open the front door of a residence and stole a TV and video equipment valued together at $1,475 at 5:45 p.m. July 10.
Silver Lake Boulevard, 1600 block--Thieves with a shotgun entered a mini-market, demanded that the clerk sell them beer, then stole the beer and chips valued together at $68 at 5:30 a.m. July 11.
