A suspect has been arrested in one of a series of London killings that targeted homosexuals. Colin Ireland, 39, was charged with killing Andrew Collier, 33, in early June. Since March 8, five men have been strangled or suffocated and their remains found at their homes. Four of the victims were known to be homosexuals. In each case, the killer telephoned police, a national newspaper or a suicide hot line with precise details of the crime. He also had threatened to kill a new victim every week.
