2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke (Roc: $10.; 236 pp). Stanley Kubrick’s “2001” was a landmark film for Baby-Boomers, many of whom will be dismayed to realize this new edition of the novel marks the 25th anniversary of its release.
